"In our business relationships we strive for and achieve a "win/win" situation for all involved." |

Customers engage GCD for a variety of reasons. Our Design Services offer companies the ability to integrate discrete wireless designs into a single RFIC. The initial NRE is easily recovered in the cost savings realized in a short period of time by either saving space, enhanced reliability, reduced manufacturing costs, or simply better performance. Whatever the reason, GCD's Design Services could be the solution you are looking for. |
Typically, our business relationships fall into one of the following categories: |
Full custom design: Design services of this type are typically undertaken on a contractual basis with the customer's involvement only up-front and at critical review points. This approach minimizes the impact on the customer's manpower. |
Joint Development: This work usually involves GCD becoming a temporary member of the customer's design and development team. This type of arrangement allows for a much closer working relationship between the two companies. Specifications, schedule milestones, and reviews follow the customer's operating model, as agreed upon by GCD. |
Design Consultation: This is a very short-term (days or weeks) arrangement in which GCD consults with the customer's company on a specific short term problem of some type. GCD's participation in this type of effort has included attending customer's internal design reviews, attending presentations by other companies to GCD's customer, delivering in-house courses, and assisting in debugging a design or problem in the lab. |
Manufacturing and Testing: GCD can facilitate contract manufacturing or do actual manufacturing of certain circuits, systems, or sub-systems for a customer. These units would also be tested by GCD, to an agreed upon plan, and shipped to the customer's site. |
